The S&S® TCB Series™ and FCB Series™ V-Port Control Ball Valves are engineered for precise throttling control in applications where high capacity, tight shutoff, and mechanical durability are required. These valves are well suited for both general and severe service control, delivering stable performance across a wide range of pressures, temperatures, and process conditions.
Commonly installed in chemical, petrochemical, refining, power generation, oil and gas, aerospace, and decarbonization applications, the TCB1 and FCB1 platforms combine the flow efficiency of a ball valve with the controllability expected from a true control valve.
Unlike conventional on/off ball valves, the TCB1 and FCB1 Series use precision-machined V-port balls to provide predictable flow characteristics and smooth modulation. Multiple V-port angles are available and selected based on the specific process requirements, allowing SPC engineers to optimize Cv, control resolution, and pressure recovery.
A tight stem-to-ball connection minimizes mechanical lag, improving repeatability and response under continuous modulating service. This design enables accurate control over a broad operating range while maintaining the durability required for demanding industrial environments.
